Free, Ham Radio Control Application. Grig is a simple Ham Radio control (CAT) program based on the Ham Radio Control Libraries (Hamlib).It is intended to be highly generic presenting the user to the same graphical user interface regardless of which radio is being controlled. A free application that controls up to 3 Icom, TenTec, Kenwood, Yaesu, Elecraft. This software is a basic and simple Computer Aided Controller (CAT) program specifically for the Yaesu FT-857 radio. It provides an unlimited memory storage area which resides on the client side. Access is also provided for most of the menu items that have been defined in the Application Programmers Interface. Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD) is a suite of Windows programs providing CAT control for commonly used transceivers and receivers. HRD also includes mapping and PSK31 software.

This software was designed using the Microsoft .NET framework. Most computers should have a version of this already loaded, but if you receive an error on launch, you probably do not have the necessary libraries loaded. You can download the latest .NET version for your computer here.

This software may run on Linux or Mac under WINE, although I have not tested it. You will need to load up the .NET framwork under WINE though.
